Belle and Shawn leaving

Well I saw it on Soap Digest's email that Belle and Shawn got their walking papers. I knew Billie had been let go and Adrienne was leaving, but Belle & Shawn? That came out of left field for me!

Brady is still missing (though they would have to recast if Kyle couldn't return), I know they are rapping up the Brady/Dimera fued in Ireland, but I saw and I think other people saw them as the next generation of Bo & Hope / John/Marlena. Maybe with Philip & Chloe back, Belle & Shawn will get back together and decide that in order to make their marriage work, they have to more.

Anyone for ideas? Are you sad any of the above 4 are leaving?

I don't care for him - he seems too old and "rough". The old Shawn could be a hot-head but still had a soft, sort of vulnerable side that was appealing. This new Shawn looks like he's done a lot of living for his years.

Nu-Stephanie~ The Young redheaded actress who previously played Stephanie, Played Stephanie like an adventerous old soul, a little self righteous but the exact opposite of Chelsea, who was a whiney self destructive little brat. Not so more since the recest Stephanie and Now she's dumb, seemingly intetntionally under the guise of being "Free-spirited" and etching closer into an actually abusive relationship with a straight up opportunistic Jerk. It's not like Jeremy is secretly an ass wort... everyone knows he's an asswort. Don't get it.

Kate~ I should bring up in the return of the vets thread that Vivian's return would help me like this character better... not that i ever liked Kate. There was a point where she appeared human around the time Roman was "murdered" on their wedding day. Not so much these days. She's repeating the same shit she accuses Sami of.... and switching results to make the babies EJ's, while no one really knows yet who the twins daddies are, is assinine and makes no fucking sense because if her goal is to save her son the grief by keeping him from Sami, then why devestate him with false paternity results. Kates been the ONLY cause of heart ache for Lucas for the like the last two years! Don't get it.

Lastly~

Phillip'and Belle- It's gonna be HILLARIOUS when he remembers "Ooooppps. I've got a baby of my own. " I never understood Belle or liked her much. Never understood why she married Phillip or gave her virginity to him out of the blue... didnt understand her overself protection towards Shawn...and I Certainly didnt understand the insant trust she has in Phillip or Phillip instantly becoming Nice... Or Belle letting Victor keep Claire? Wha!

First - I love Belle/Shawn & Claire & to bring the old Philip back was brilliant and he's doing a great job, heck they're all doing a great job, but...

Who else thinks this story is crazy? I mean WHY would Philip be going after Claire, who is not his biological daughter AFTER he voluntarily gave up all parental rights to his child with Mimi? (whom neither he or Mimi don't know that Bonnie is taking care of the surrogate to claim the baby as her own - can you say pawn/gold digger anyone?) And then he's going after the child that "supposedly" is Shawn's that Willow is carrying? (don't believe that one either)

Come on , we're more intelligent than that....

lately, it's been nagging on my mind how they don't call "steve" patch anymore--i guess because he had amnesia and all that, but still....anyway, i was washing dishes while half-listening to Days, and my three-year-old daughter comes in and starts shouting, "Mama--look, look! Pirate ship!" I turn around, and there's steve. (She says "pirate ship" when she sees only pirates too.) I thought, screw it, he's still patch to me.

first, i want to say that peter reckell (bo brady) should get an emmy for his performance on friday--both he and kristen (hope) were awesome and i hardly had a dry eye for the entire hour!
okay, incredible acting aside, i can't stand how they're going to develop the plot with chelsea basically getting away with murder while others take the blame. i mean, for once, would it kill the writers to make the characters do the right thing--i think they would still have a good story if bo actually turned chelsea in--there would be tons of conflict and all that. but no--i really don't like that character! frustrating!

~ What is the reason for the Dimera's hatred for the Bradys? (NBC toted that the truth was going to come out in 6 months...which was seriously at least 4 years ago).

~ Old man Brady is "Himself". What is "Himself" and why does he have so much power in Ireland?

~ Who is Greta's father?

~ What happend Hattie, the woman who had the plastic surgery to look exactly like Marlena?

The soap opera "Days of Our Lives" will celebrate its 40th anniversary by airing the world premiere of the Rolling Stones video "Streets of Love."

"I can't imagine a more exciting way to celebrate the 40th landmark year of 'Days of Our Lives' than with the Rolling Stones," Sheraton Kalouria, senior vice president, NBC Daytime Programs, said in a statement.

The "Streets of Love" video will air Tuesday. "Days of Our Lives" will use the song as a soundtrack to some scenes for the next four weeks.

"Days of Our Lives" premiered on Nov. 8, 1965.

The Rolling Stones, who have been touring for 40 years, have a new album, "A Bigger Bang."

Yesterdays episode... at the wedding, Will came in and sat down in front of John (they made a big deal of this because John gave Marlenas Doctor friend the evil eye) but when Sami walked down the aisle, Will was convienently behind him and to the right? Then at the altar they scanned the guests and he was nowhere to be found.

Just thought it was wierd.

Also, I love the long pause and glances after "Is there anyone here who does not beleive that these two should be married... speak now or forever hold you peace... HILARIOUS!!!!

What does everyone else think of the 'Mimi has an abortion and goes sterile' story? I hate this story! Why does Jan get away with keeping Shawn in a cage for months, Dimera with countless murders and kidnappings, and Sami with whatever the last thing she did wrong...yet Mimi has to PAY for one hasty decision/mistake???? I think this is The Powers That Be's religious beliefs showing, personally. Couldn't they have had Sami or Jan tell Rex and him dump her or something??? That would have made more sense anyway...rather than have this one decision have such an irreverable impact on the rest of her life. It's cruel and unusual punishment, IMO. I am very angry with them for doing something so cruel to one of their best characters.

Philip warns Belle not to let Shawn get to her while he is
away. Lucas and Will throw Sami a bridal shower.

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES:

Belle goes to buy a present for Philip before he ships out -
and she runs into Shawn on the way. He demands to know the
truth about her feelings for him.

Lexie realizes that John is the hospital drug thief, and
she's fit to be tied. Kate tries to lure Brandon back to
town. Sami decides to try to be good for Lucas's sake. Will
she succeed? John continues to fight drug withdrawal. Mimi
gets in the middle again, trying to hook Shawn and Belle
back up. How will Rex react? Belle keeps remembering Shawn's
kiss. Will she be able to resolve her feelings - before
Philip leaves and it's too late?

Hope and Patrick arrive in the European village, hot on Bo
and Billie's tails. Meanwhile, Bo and Billie have found
their daughter! Or have they?

Belle kisses Phil but sees Shawn's face. Philip asks Rex to
look out for Belle while he is away. Kate decides to call
Lexie for help with John. Lucas implores Sami to stay out
of other peoples' business. Bo and Billie are tied up by
DiMera minions. Patrick and Hope arrive in Europe, the same
Inn as Bo/Billie and Jack. Sami confronts John's about wanting
Marlena's pearls. John continues to fight withdrawal symptoms.

Philip and Belle have a private farewell. Shawn tells Mimi
he kissed Belle and wants to see her again. Patrick and Hope
figure out where Bo & Billie are and find go to them. Sami
finds undeniable proof that John is an addict. Lucas again
warns Sami to be good. Sami can't resist calling her psychic
for more advice. Brandon receives an e-mail from Lexie and
wants to return home.

Billie thinks she has really found her daughter this time;
Hope isn't so sure.

Does it seem weird to anyone else that Sami is in favor of Belle and Phillip together? Last year, she was telling Belle to sleep with Shawn. Also, she should HATE the idea that her little sister is married to the son of her enemy. I know Sami has issues with Bo and Hope for "killing" her mom and that might be why she hates Shawn now, but I would think her hatred for Kate outweighs her hatred for Bo.

ok, i know its a soap and all, but they have been ignoring 2 stories that i think are reall important.

1. bonnie and maggie married to mickey. if not mistaken it has been over a month since they have touched on this story. there is so much they could be doing (no more threesomes though) with this, but it has been pushed aside for john hooked on drugs, chelsea has the hots for patrick, hope whining about bo and billie, and bo and billie in europe

Chloe is alive in Austria and not doing well. Lucas decides
to elope with Sami after all.

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES:

Kate makes the thrilling discovery that Philip and Belle
are engaged. Belle announces she and Philip have set a date
-- the same date as Sami and Lucas! Sami pitches a fit. Much
to Lucas's chagrin, Sami decides that she wants to elope.

Abe can see again, but it may be only temporary. Bo and Billie
burn the midnight oil to uncover info about their daughter
Georgia. Hope is called to the county jail, where she learns
Shawn was arrested for DUI! When she tries to get through to
Bo, he's too busy with Billie. Hope is frustrated -- and
worried. Will Billie come between her and Bo again?

Mimi tries to get Belle to postpone her wedding. Lucas is
preoccupied trying to keep Sami from burning every bridge in
town. Lexie turns to Brandon for comfort, upset about Abe's
eyesight. John continues to be drugged by the mystery person.
Bo and Billie find an important clue to Georgia's whereabouts.
Hope lays into Bo about not being there for her, Shawn or Zack.
Belle has been worried about Shawn, Jan won't let her near him.

Brady and Nicole return to Salem. Belle admits to Shawn that
she still has feelings for him. Lucas takes Sami out for a
romantic dinner at The Penthouse Grill. Kate pushes Billie to
continue her pursuit of Bo. Jan continues to "poison" Shawn

Abby, with her new friend Chelsea, continues to defy Jennifer.
Billie visits Georgia's grave.

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES:

Shawn and Jan get quite an eyeful -- they witness Philip
proposing to Belle. Jan is thrilled! Billie says goodbye
to family and friends and makes tracks out of Salem. Will
she really leave? Maggie makes an upsetting discovery
concerning Alice's.

Bo and Hope learn some mysterious -- and shocking --
news found in the DiMera files. They must rush to stop
Billie before she leaves Salem. Philip gets a mysterious
phone call and has some bad news for Belle. Delusion and
feverish John collapses.

What is this mystery man (or woman) doing to him? Celeste
gets a strong premonition regarding Sami and Brandon. She
believes they will be reunited! Sami preps a Thanksgiving
feast with a little help from Alice Horton. Brandon feels
it would be a mistake to attend Sami and Lucas' wedding.
The mystery figure continues to inject John. It looks as if
John will not survive his drug injections. Bonnie and Maggie
physically duke it out. Billie says goodbye to family &
friends in Salem. Rex and Mimi learn that their friends
are engaged.

Bo and Billie look for clues to discover whether or not their
daughter could be alive. Jan and Mimi prepare T-giving dinner
for the gang. John questions Belle about her real feelings
for Shawn and rushing into marriage with Philip. John gives
his blessing to Belle and Phil but warns him not to hurt his
daughter.

Kate tries to keep Billie in town.

HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED ON DAYS OF OUR LIVES:

Lexie worries about Abe's condition and decides to send him
to a special eye clinic. Hope grows more concerned about
Shawn's behavior. Bo gets an emergency call from Billie
and Hope fears this spells trouble. Much to Sami's dismay,
Brandon decides to stay in Salem for as long as Abe needs
him. Sami must accept that her parents are gone -- and she
blames John and Kate. Hope arrives at the hospital with
news about the missing Salemites.

Mickey makes an unusual proposition to Maggie and Bonnie.
Will the two women accept? On the fishing trawler, Roman and
Marlena make a stunning realization. Roman and Marlena
realize that in Salem they are presumed dead. What is Tony
up to?

Lucas catches Sami in a compromising position. Billie plans
her exit from Salem. Jennifer tells Abby that her father is
still missing. Sami confronts Brandon about staying in town.
Brandon comforts Sami when she learns her parents are "dead."

Brandon and Tek have a heated exchange about Lexie. Mickey
decides to pull a "Three's Company" with his lady loves.
Patrick consoles Jennifer. Lucas threatens Kate to stay out
of his/Sami's wedding planning/happiness. John's pain is
increasing.

Hope is amazed at Bo's strength; he has learned that his
parents are again missing. Sami and Eugenia fight at Alice's.
Lucas begs Sami to have faith in their relationship. Kate
can see that Billie still has strong feelings for Bo. Mickey
takes Maggie to see the Tuscany transformation!

When did everyone become a doctor? Seriously! I haven't had cable due to having to move into the country, so have had not TV whatsoever (which sucks) so I'm reading up on what I've missed and I'm just shocked that a psychiatrist like Marlena knows how to fix Roman. And Patrick and Hope are stopping Jen's hemoraging! Come on now, I miss the days when this show was somewhat real.

I'm so confused by the whole thing.
BTW.. are all the dead people on the island or is it just a select few?
Who are these doctors and coroners that said these people are dead, anyway? They should all be fired for not being able to see that these people are alive. This is kinda like what happened YEARS ago when Vivian poisoned (I think her name was Charly?) and she ended up buried alive. Vivian was talking to her by way of a walkie talkie or something. Was her name Charly?

finally, everyone is getting a clue! geez it took them long enough. of course, i think it's funny that they're chalking up marlena's killing spree to a regression into her demonic possession--it was a theory i had before. what kills me is all the flashbacks--you have all these nice flashbacks of her and john, then of her levitating and being burned by the cross...the show is so whacked. but that's why i love it.

ok I decided that I'm going to commit a crime and I'm going to salem to do it. these cops are SO STUPID. 1. marlena says to john "I'm the killer". he dont believe her. 2. at the cemetary, john sees her run away - WHY DIDNT SOMEONE FOLLOW HER?????? duh. this is a few example of how stupid they are. on the other hand, I hope I dont get murdered in salem. They will never figure out who did it. I mean c'mon if the police chief, then his replacement are whacked, I sure hope by now the crime would have been solved. Alice was announced as the tenth victim (in April).

I know lots of people who are pissed by this, BUT keep in mind Frances had a lifetime contract so it was up to her when she left and she agreed to this. No more original cast members left. . .Plus JER said the final victim will make everyone hate him. So I had suspected it all along, but at least the killings will stop. I'm pretty sure Marlena is revealed in MAy as well. SAoon we shall have a motive. Hopefully.
